Hi, I’m Alex.
I'm a freelance Illustrator based in Malmö, Sweden. My background is working as an Art Director and 2D artist in game development. During my time at Tactile Games in Copenhagen, I developed the successful title “Lily’s Garden” together with my team and ran the environment art production for several years after launch.
Though I’m still very much open to game-related freelance work, my current focus is to work with book illustrations. As a long-time, passionate reader and writer, it has always been a goal of mine to work with books in any shape or form. To me, the most powerful stories are told where art and words meet.

The Casual Section
Here are some fun facts about me:
I’m a cat-parent of 2.
I wrote and illustrated my first book when I was 5 (it is not good).
I love to read—always have. I’m particularly drawn to the fantastical and the queer, but also the ambiguous, the dark, and the tragic. There’s nothing better than a book that leaves me pondering about the themes and the subtle messages of the story long after I finish reading. My all-time favorite books include “Klara and the Sun”, “The song of Achilles”, and “The Cruel Prince”.
I like to watch anything animated, and I’m especially fond of the works by Cartoon Saloon, such as “The Song of the Sea” and “Wolfwalkers”. I’ll also gladly watch anything from Disney Pixar or Dreamworks.
My passions, apart from art, include writing, crafting, daydreaming, and psychology.
